I'm bloody chuffed with this painting I am. I felt like doing something girly again, and I may carry on doing girly paintings now (Though I may compensate by doing Batman again...).
The background was a bit of an experiment. It came out well, but it doesn't look so great on (digital) film. I think I finally got a decent pic, but it's still not as good as it looks in the flesh.

hec-tic mate, I do believe you've outdone yourself here. Did you mix silver in with everything or is it just showing through better than you hoped?

I think it's just shiney 'coz I've got fuckloads of paint on there. I kept changing colours and stuff.
Her hair for example used to have a second eye I lumped paint over.

Yeh, where the eye should have been intersected with the outline of the hair, and would have just looked odd.

Awesome painting, though I think the bottom left photo looks much better than the main one, Is that the flash from the camera or is it actually that light?

Your experiments with the background paid off, it looks great.

Bottom right you mean?
Yeh, it was very shiney and hard to take a picture of, which is why I put in the extra angles.
The green bit looked to dark in most the pics, which is why I've angled the flash to reflect off the lighter section in the main one.

Yeah I meant right.

Did you paint the background first then put the rest over it or did you do the character first then fill in the background around it.
